Robby Moore – President
I have been in the insurance industry for 8 years now and all of it has been in Professional and Management lines. I am a Wholesale Broker with Professional Lines Underwriting Specialists (PLUS, Inc.). I have been married for 12 years (together for 16) to Steph and have a 9 year old son named Trey, a 7 year old daughter named Maddy and a 4 year old beagle/terrier mix named Timmy! I enjoy mountain biking, cooking and collecting vinyl records. I currently have over 2000 records in my collection.
Jill Duggan Hale – President Elect
Jill Duggan Hale is has been fortunate to call Austin home since 1987. She works for Magnolia Hospice in Partnership Development and enjoys working in senior care. Jill graduated from St. Edward’s University where she also completed her masters degree. Jill enjoys an active lifestyle, loves to cook and is the proud mom of Ashton Faith who attends Texas A&M University where she is a member of the Tri Delta sorority.
Rhonda Bowles – Vice President
I have been in the insurance industry for 28 years, with a majority working with workers compensation carriers. Currently I am a master underwriter for Summit Holdings, a workers compensation company that is a subsidiary of Great American Insurance Company. I have been married for 24 years to Brad, have 2 granddaughters-Emme who is 4 & Maggie who is 18 months, and have a very spoiled Doberman named Xena.
Jessica Hahn – Treasurer
Jessica Hahn is the new treasurer for AAIP, she also serves on the Emerging Issues & Innovations Committee for WSIA and on the Education Committee for TSLA. She has over 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry, specializing in transportation. Currently Jessica is an underwriter/broker at Risk Placement Services in Austin, TX. She attended college at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, TX where she played soccer for the Lady Rams. She enjoys fishing and kayaking at the coast with her family.

At the age of 17, Laura Farmer started her career in the insurance industry as a CSR for a local State Farm Agent. After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin, Laura moved into commercial underwriting at Farmers Insurance. Later, she seized an opportunity to move into a marketing role with Zurich Small Business and eventually State Auto Insurance. After 7 years in the field she joined the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas as a Member Engagement Ambassador, assisting with launching their new young agents group, ELITExas (Emerging Leaders of Insurance in Texas). Laura is presently a Business Development Manager at Service Lloyds Insurance Company. She has her CPCU, CIC, and CRM designations. Laura is married to an Austin Firefighter and has 2 amazing children.

Lindsey Burton is currently the Past President and has served on the AAIP board for 5 years. Lindsey also serves as a Co-Chair for the Host Committee for TSLA. She has been in the insurance industry for over a decade and is a Casualty Broker for RPS. Lindsey and her husband have four fur babies and love to foster dogs for Lucky Lab Rescue.
Marjolyn Varano – Director
Having worked under Marsh & McLennan, Service Lloyds, and now Professional Lines Underwriting Specialists (PLUS, Inc.), I have been in the insurance industry for over 6 years. When not working in the insurance industry I flex my Drawing & Painting degree through commission work (let me paint your pet(s)!) as well as instructing at Painting with a Twist. Occasionally, I pet- and house-sit too. I enjoy traveling as much and as far as possible, pretending I can cook, and petting all the dogs and cats that will let me.
Tamra Johnson – Director
Tamra Johnson joined Marsh Wortham in 2014 and has 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Her primary focus is working with high net worth families and individuals to develop a thorough understanding of their exposures in order to construct an insurance program that meets their needs. Tamra was promoted to Personal Lines Department Manager in 2019. In addition to managing her staff she also serves as the primary point of contact for multiple local wealth management firms, as it relates to their clients’ personal insurance needs. Tamra ensures she is aware of current trends in the insurance industry through continuing education, having earned and maintained multiple designations, including: Certified Insurance Counselor, Certified Personal Risk Manager, Certified Insurance Service Representative, and Accredited Customer Service Representative. Tamra is active in the Austin community serving with the women’s ministry at her church for the last 9 years. She has served 4 years as Board Treasurer for AAIP and now serves as a Director. She was recently engaged to her fiancée Pat Roberts and is planning a Summer 2021 wedding.
